Stefano Del Sole was born in Bari in 1978. He lives and works in Venice (Italy). He started at an early age his musical studies with the classic guitar under the guidance of M° Pasquale Maglione. Later he attended "Nicolò Piccinni" music conservatory in Bari under the guidance of M° Luigi Morleo taking his diploma in Percussions with the highest achievable grade and honour. During his studies he attended masterclasses and stages with world famous musicians and composers such as: Ney Rosauro (Marimba), Jean Jeoffrey (Marimba), Jean Luc Rimey-Meille (Marimba and Percussions), Akira Jimbo (Drums), Virgil Donati (Drums), Simon Phillips (Drums),Mimmo Campanale(Drums), Nebojsa Jovan Zivkovic (Marimba, Percussions), Klangforum Wien (Percussions, Contemporary Music and Composition), etc.. He took his master degree in didactic elements of music at the music conservatory “ Benedetto Marcello” in Venice. He’s interested in composition and research in musical fields. He worked in Simphonic Orchestras such as: Orchestra Piccinni, Orchestra dell’ Accademia Mandolinistica Napoletana, Orchestra "M. De Falla", Orchestra S. Francesco d’ Assisi; Solo Recitals,( Percorsi per Marimba); Chamber Music with Wu Ming Duo (S. Del Sole – G. Chiapparino), Bari percussion quartet ( S. Del Sole- M. De Marzo- G. Di Pinto – L. Lorusso), Stefano Del Sole 4tet (Mus(a)icist). He worked with many marching bands, such as: Banda Comunale, Gioia del Colle-Bari; Complesso Bandistica "Davide Delle Cese", Bitonto-Bari; La Banda di Venezia - Venezia and other different bands, which play many styles of music.
He worked side by side with several foundations and cultural organizations as: La Biennale di Venezia, Circolo Artistico Veneziano, la Vallisa – Bari, Centro studi culturali Giovinazzo-Ba, Centro di studi musicali "Tommaso Traetta", Bitonto- Bari.
He played with many bands and musicians such as: Pop artists ( Rita Passerini, Roberto Albergo, …), Blues artists ( Pride&Blues, Paolo Giordano, …), Rock artists ( Joe Ontario, Blackcurrant, Enemy, …), World Music artists ( La Frontera, Luigi Negro flamenco ensamble, …), Jazz artists( Il suono improvviso Big Band, Guy Portoghese, Tommaso Viola, …).
He has been invited to perform in many masterclasses of technical developing and virtuosism as: Masterclass di batteria in Scuola di Musica Hamadeus-Bari, Music Conservatory "N. Piccinni"- Bari. He has been an official endorser of UFIP cymbals since 2004 and of ROLL drums stick factory since 2006. With the cooperation of Roll he designed a new pair of drumsticks: Roll med. EF44 Stefano Del Sole Signature.
He started composing in 1996 in many different styles such as: didactic, orchestra, solo music. In 2008 he signed an edition world agreement with Bachovich editions LTD.
He also composes "Personal Lullabies" for children and parents under commission.

In 2006 he was chosen as an official percussionist in the I° International Afro-Jazz Dance Summer Academy held by the American dancer and choreographer Bob Curtis in Venice.
As a musician and composer he has been associated with Fondazione Casinò di Venezia and he has been invited to play as a solo artist of percussion, marimba and vibraphone on the main stage of the Carnevale di Venezia, over the last five years ( 2003-2008).
He works as a Percussion instruments professor at I.C. "Gramsci", Campalto (Venice) and I.C. "Galilei", Sottomarina di Chioggia ( Venice).
Since 2005, he has taught as a professor of Percussion, Theory and Composition at "Il suono improvviso" jazz music school in Venice, and Percussion and Drums at Circolo Culturale "Pablo Neruda" in Lido di Venezia.
Since 2007, Stefano Del Sole has founded and directs the "Band-ITA" children percussion ensemble (with young percussionists from 5 to 10 years old).
He has been a composer of many instrumental musicals and other forms of art, such as: “Percorsi per Marimba” ( music and photography), "Mus(a)icist" ( music and mosaic), "Suoni di Vibrafono… ed altre atmosfere…" (contemporary music and visual effects).
In 2009 Stefano Del Sole founded the "Nuevo Tango Project" and is currently working as a composer of music, and also as a director and vibraphonist of the aforementioned production.
He lives in Venice from 2007.
